Understanding LED Video Walls
If you're new to LED video walls, understanding the technology can feel overwhelming. We've simplified the key features and terms, like pixel pitch, viewing distance, and panel sizing, to help you make a confident and informed decision.
Pixel Pitch
How Does Pixel Pitch Affect Image Quality?
Pixel pitch is the distance between each LED on the panel, measured in millimeters. The smaller the number, the closer the LEDs, and the sharper the image, especially at close viewing distances. Larger pixel pitches are better suited for longer viewing distances, where the space between LEDs is less noticeable.
1.9mmpp Full HD Resolution
If your closest viewer is about 6 feet away, choose 1.9mm for a sharp, clear image.
2.9mmpp
If your closest viewer is about 10 feet away, 2.9mm provides excellent clarity.
3.9mmpp
If your closest viewer is about 20 feet away, 3.9mm is a great choice for clear viewing.
Recommended Viewing Distances by Pixel Pitch
How Far Will Viewers Be From Your Display?
A General Rule: The smaller the pitch the closer you can stand without seeing pixels. Choosing the right pitch for your viewing distance ensures your display appears sharp, seamless, and professional from where it matters most.
Panel Size
Why Does Panel Size Matter?
SP-X LED video walls are built using modular panels in two standard sizes: 500mm x 500mm and 500mm x 1000mm. These sizes can be used individually or combined, allowing us to configure your display to the exact width and height of your space, without forcing you into a one-size-fits-all layout.

Smaller panels offer more flexibility in tight or unusual spaces, while larger panels reduce seams in wider displays. The result is a clean, custom-fit LED wall that looks and performs exactly as it should.
